It Looks Great!
Reviewed by Monique, Sun Dec 4 2005
I have never used a home coloring kit before. My mom wanted hi-lites, so we treid this product in Tanzania Sand. I have to say, the directions were very simple and my mom's hair turn out beautifully. I have had my hair colored at the salon before and loved the results, but not the price. I am definitely trying this product on myself real soon! |

Great if you know what you're doing

I used Sahara Shimmer and I apparently used way too much of the booster you see I was looking CRAZY and well I didn't know if I should dye over it ,because I was afraid that it would turn some crazy green,or purple color so instead I did the no no and I relaxed my hair the very next day apparently relaxing your hair right around the same time that you put permanent hair-dyes,or highlighters on your hair the relaxer tones down the color, or strips it altogether fortunately for me it toned it down a bit and well the results we're amazing after that. I deep conditioned my hair to protect it from all of the over-processing but an overall learning experince |

Senegal Sunset
Reviewed by Nita, Mon Mar 7 2005
I tried out African Pride's Senegal Sunset the beginning of February. I was very happy with the results. But the reddish color quickly faded after about two weeks. It has now been a month since I used the higilighting kit and my hair looks like I used the Sahara Simmers color, not Senegal Sunset. I like the product, but I will have to try a different shade next time. |

I'm still in love
Reviewed by CARMENJONES, Wed Feb 9 2005
Yes , I'm sorry so sorry. I found a way to get rid of the orange bozo looking hair. I used a clarifying shampoo and it got rid of the orange. But I have dyed my hair recently with the Tanzania Sand by African Pride, and it looks absolutely marvelous. I am tireeeed of all those females on my job asking me about my haircolor. Psych! LOL. Now, can you believe people have the nerve to ask me if ,I am half caucasian because the color looks so natural and non- brassy. But for that crazy question ,I say no love I am pure African American and you absolutely have to try African Pride to get this haircolor. The reason is because I use African Pride like a hair dye instead of a highlighting kit, I dye all of my past shoulder length hair . But I have also informed them that this honey blonde hair w/platinum blonde highlights is from re-applying the hair dye over a course of some months. But anyways all hats off to African Pride. Always try Sahara Shimmer and Tanzania Sand they are the best shades. |
