what color?

It seems like all but blue works. I use 'n rage pink, and it comes out looking like a flamingo's ass crack. Exactly how I like it. Sorry bout you blue kids. Try manic panic. I used the midnight blue and it came out amazing! If you want lighter, get the toner or mix with lighter blues. This advice coming from 9 years experience and playing. (Special effects is great, also. Never tried punky. Too damned expensive for me.) |

nRage purple is the best I've ever used. It doesn't bleed on towels or pillow cases. Color remains as intesse (or more) than manic panic or special effects. |

I've been dying my hair bright colors for 4 or 5 years now, and have had a full range of colors as well as different products, and this is my absolute favorite.
FOR THE BEST RESULTS:
Make sure you haven't washed your hair for at LEAST 24 HOURS before you dye.
Bleach your hair seperately and then buy a tube of color and dye right after you bleach as soon as your hair dries.
Leave in for an hour and then HEAT PROCESS for about 45 minutes. (It's a pain, but it makes it last.)
Then let it cool and sit for AS LONG AS POSSIBLE (the longer the better)
Wash out until water runs clear with cold water, and then DEEP CONDITION to lock it in better.
I've had pink and blue by them in my hair for 2 and a half months now and have gone swimming several times, and it's only fading now. My problem is my roots showing, not my lack of color. Plus with it's easy to use tubes, great smelling dye, and bright colors, this brand is close to perfect.
The only draw back is you have to dedicate alot of time to dying your hair. I like to dye at night and sleep with mine in, that way I'm not sitting around wasting time. |

Washes out in a day

Semi-permanant? If by semi-permanant they meant "washes out in a day", yeah I guess it could be called semi-permanant. Also the "heat treating" is a bitch and it doesn't work. I much rather recommend "RAW" (you can only get it at hot topic) instead, which lasts a long time, has deep rich color, and doesn't need any processing short of brushing it on and washing it out. Ironically it's made by N Rage for Hot Topic, but it works sooooooo much better and out of tons of brands that I've used, I swear by it. |

Purple on Gray Hair is the BEST !!

Don't know why this isn't 5 stars. So easy to use, no worry about getting it on your skin like most. Smells like grapes,, no chemical smells here. Being used on gray and when it fades a bit, the silver highlights make it look simply wonderful. Try it... supper stuff and we've tried many of the others. |
