Worked great
Reviewed by Amy, Thu Sep 22 2005
My natural color is medium to dark brown and long, but a couple years of coloring to cover grey and correct lightened hari had left it dry and brittle, not to mention the sun had begun fading my artificial color and leaving behind brassy hair where the chemical developers had "lifted" the existing color before depositing pigment.
Anyway, I wanted to try a deposit only color and felt that an organic henna dye was worth a shot. I picked up 2 boxes of the Hennalucent Earth Brown at the beauty supply store. These boxes were both labeled 100% organic, but I couldn't find any ingredient listing.
In short, it gave my hair a much more natural, even tone than chemical dyes ever did, and my hair also feels stronger, thicker and healthier than it did before. I'm very pleased with this product. |

Try it!

I tried Hennalucent neutral and althought it was gooey and messy, it really made a difference in the texture and appearance of my hair. (even my husband noticed it!) I was hoping to get it for blondes -I have bleach blonde hair- but can't find it here in Charleston, SC. Anyone know where I can get some for blondes? Thanks. |

Oompa Loompa hair.

I just dyed my friends hair with the Earth Brown, (hence how I found this weblink) and sure enough she is a green headed monster and pissed.
I wouldn't recommend this product to my worst enemy. We did everything correctly, she naturally has dark brown/reddish hair and we wanted to enhance the red. Wrong!
We're trying mineral oil, and on the first wash it seems to take a good bit out.
Thank goodness.

ONLY USE THE SUNSET GLO
Reviewed by annie, Thu May 19 2005
I used the Sunset Glo for years with delight. It wasn't until I tried that miserable brown that I had a problem. There's some kind of compound metallic in there that does the green damage. So I have red hair with green splotches now where I did the brown a few weeks ago. Very pretty, but I have waist-length hair, and I'm not cutting it. Stay away from any of the others besides the Sunset Glo (which I would give five stars). They all have additives; go to hennaforhair dot com and read up on it. What an education. |
