sedu iron
Reviewed by jessica, Fri Aug 18 2006
when i looked at all of the stunning reviews for this flat iron, i seriously thought that this was the iron that would solve all of my problems, but acutally, to be frank, it stunk. like the first few weeks it was pretty good, but then after a little bit it just stopped getting the job done. maybe the smallness of the plate wasn't good enough for the thickness of my hair, or maybe i just wasn't taking my time, but when my friend used it on her hair which she normally gets pretty straight with her cheap-o conair iron, and the sedu didn't do the job on her either, i knew it was time to go with the superstar iron :) |

So far So gooood!
Reviewed by Becka, Tue Aug 17 2004
After much internet research and reading countless reviews I decided to go ahead and spend the money on a "professional" flat iron. At first I thought I was sold on the Chi, but right before clicking the button to order it, I came across the Sedu 1". The main characteristics that won me over were the plates which are made of a ceramic/tourmaline mixture (similar to the too pricey for me Bion) and the fact that I have control over the temperature that's on my hair, whereas with the original Chi the temperature is set. I question the fact that this iron will do "no damage" to my hair... as the box claims, but it does say that this iron produces more negative ions (which is a positive thing!) than an ordinary ceramic iron, so hopefully the damage will not be so bad. Anyway! I received my Sedu today and am very pleased with its performance thus far. Initially I was concerned about the steam that came off my hair after the iron passed by, but the results truly are what I had only dreamed of. As long as the Sedu lasts me, it's comforting to know I really can have nice, sleek, "unpuffdified" hair! And heck... at least it looks healthy even if its really fried... but does health really matter when it looks so good?! |

My stylist recommended this to me
Reviewed by Hair Happy, Sat Jul 17 2004
My hair stylist used a ceramic flat iron on me and I was so pleased with the result that I bought one from him right away. I was nervous that I would buy it and wouldn't be able to get the desired effect, but I have been pleasantly suprised. My hair is short and growing out and this has made managing it so much easier. It works very effectively, heats up quickly and is easy and convenient to store away after use. I'm really glad I bought it |
