It's amazing. I picked up CHI last night and pay a little more than needed to, but I was desperate to try anything to straighten my hair. Over time my hair has gotten curly, but also frizzy (I am guessing that it's all due to the dyeing, perming just completely damaging my hair through the years). I have tried everything to get my hair straight. I have tried the metal-type irons in the past but to no avail. Just recently, I tried Straight to the Maxx but with fear that it might ruined my hair even more, but I lucked out; it didn't work that well on me, but at least, it didn't ruin my hair. Anyway, the starter kit came with a ceramic flat iron. I tried it, but I still did not get the results that I wanted. So last night, I traveled to beauty stores in search of CHI. I even called my salon in the local mall to see if they carried it, they said "No!" I really wanted to try this miracle worker, and I didn't want to order it through the internet unless I absolutely had to because I wanted to try it like "now". By chance, I had to go to the mall anyway to pickup my daughter. While being there, I stopped by the small kiosk that my hair salon had set up outside their shop to sell hair products, and there it was, one box. Farouk CHI Ceramic Flat Iron (Original). I was beside myself. I quickly took out my Discover Card and paid $140 for it. The sales clerk warned me by informing me that they don't have a return policy, but I didn't care because I had heard so many good things about this product. I am now one of those happy customers; I am totally satisfied ;>)!!!!!! Thank you, thank you. There is someone out there that heard me finally. I even followed some of the advice on the internet from other reviewers, like using conditioner to avoid more damage to the hair and using hair softners like Biosilk, by the way, thank you for the advice fellow-ladies.
This stuff is great and if it is expensive, so what as long as it works it's worth it. It leaves the hair nice and soft with a a natural shine. I even created little waves at my my ends. I just love this product. Thank you, thank you. |

THE BEST!!!

This tool is an amazing god-sent, and worth every penny! I have VERY frizzy, spongy hair that I get professionally relaxed every six months. I was able to straighten it after relaxing with flat irons, but they always left my hair like straight hay, and it would turn frizzy in two seconds if it was remotely humid. It also didn't stay straight for very long...only a day or two. This tool makes my hair PIN straight and silky with only ONE swipe through each section (using other irons, I would have to swipe several times on each section--which would also end up scorching my hair!), and even in rainy, humid weather, my hair stays straight...and it lasts for almost a week! All of my friends and family thought I was nuts when I told them how much this tool costs, but after they've seen my hair--THEY ALL WANT ONE, TOO!!!! |

Bought this at trade secret and it is great! Heats fast, hot, small, smooths and straightens hair. Had a metal plated flat iron before but nothing can beat the Chi! |

Other hair straighteners worked for about five minutes on my naturally wavy hair but this one seals it straight and glossy all day. |
